REBEKAH MAGGOR

Rebekah Maggor

Rebekah Maggor performs her acclaimed one woman play which delights both the seasoned lover of Shakespeare and captivates young students, introducing them to Shakespeare's characters and language. From nineteenth-century stage stars Ellen Terry and Sarah Bernhardt to contemporary film stars Elizabeth Taylor and Claire Danes, this beautifully crafted solo work reveals the varied interpretations of Shakespeare's heroines and explores how women have changed our understanding of the world's greatest playwright. Shakespeare's Actresses in America was first performed at the American Repertory Theatre.
